MMXII… now what?

After I released my EP Universe for Afternoon Tea in late 2009, I sat down and drew up a list of goals to move my music career forward. It looked something like this:

  • Make a video
  • Get radio play
  • Get some reviews
  • Get a support gig for a major touring artist
  • Get a festival gig
  • Establish a decent website and online presence

Supporting Belinda Carlisle!

On Saturday 17th March, Shameem will be performing a support set for Belinda Carlisle‘s Perth show at the Astor Theatre! Belinda gained worldwide fame as the lead vocalist of the Go-Go’s, one of the most successful all-female bands and the first such group whose members wrote their own songs and played their own instruments. She went on to have a successful solo career, spawning such hits as “Heaven Is A Place On Earth” and “Summer Rain”.
