More shots from the studio

After a few weeks of sessions at Soundbaker Studios spent programming beats, recording the band and then recording and compiling vocals, we got my guitarist Dom back in the studio to put down a few more guitar layers and asked Alix and Laura from Mill Point Quartet to come in and record their lovely strings! Alix plays both violin AND viola, serious skills…

Crowd funding in October

We launched the crowd funding campaign for our next album on Monday 7th October, and we’re now almost halfway through the 56-day campaign. It’s been an amazing journey, and I’ve been so blown away by how amazingly supportive and generous everyone has been of the project. Within the first 24 hours we had already met 25% per cent of our target, which climbed to over 40% after one week, 67% after two weeks and 81% after three weeks!

I think if someone asked me, “What’s the best gig of your life so far?” I would have to say that this one takes the cake! What an honour to be the support act for someone who is not just an international music sensation, but a great musician with great longevity and someone whose work I personally admire and whose music I would count among my influences.
